His mother gave him the name because she wanted to flatter her husband. Because his favorite character in the world of comics is Superman, and so she called her son Clark Kent. A reference to the identity that hides behind the hero in the red cape.
The Filius is now ten years old and actually has almost supernatural powers. At least in the pool, where a week ago at a competition in the Californian town of Moraga broke a 23-year-old record over 100 meters butterfly for his age group. The man, whose record he pushed for just over a second to 1: 09,38 minutes, was impressed: "Keep up the good work," wrote Michael Phelps on Twitter and wished his compatriot "big dreams". He already has. Clark Kent Apuada, whose family has Philippine roots, also hung on the event over the short freestyle and back distances of the same age competition. His long-haul destinations: "Paris 2024 or Los Angeles 2028", he betrayed afterwards. However, the first obstacles are already emerging along the way.
